I co-wrote this book with my daughter, Eirwen, who was full of fun plotting ideas and came up with all the names for the characters. Printed in 2023, it took us six weeks to write together.
Eirwen was inspired to write the book ‘River, Bluebell and Scruffy' by the joy she felt at the idea of being able to create her own world.
I felt motivated after Eirwen and I visited the Brontë museum together at Haworth, then Beatrix Potter’s old farmhouse home at Hill Top, in the Lake District
I based one of the illustrations in our book on the famous photograph of Beatrix standing in the doorway of her old home. I hope she would approve.
